Catania Tango Festival 2010
What's better than a sensuous dance near the sea, in a golden beach lighted by the sunset or by the moon that illuminates the hearts? This was the CataniaTangoFestiva 2010 - Edition X!
For the entire week (10 to 16 August 2010), Catania was the Sicily Buenos Aires, hosting the best tango class who have "spoken" and "danced" the tango. Over 50 stage (divided into grades) held by 6 couples of argentinean teachers, over 70 hours of individual and group lessons, in-depth workshops, and short films for the "Cinefilia tanguera" curated by the director and executive director Leonel Mitre characterized the days of the week.

FOUR evocative location: to celebrate the ten years since the first edition, the CTF2010 opened its doors to the city and did the best location using four areas: the Courtyard of Palazzo Minoriti; the shore of Lido azzurro, Piazza Dante and the halls of 'Aga Hotel (where there were lessons). Locations confirmed for the edition of 2011.
And there's more: the Tango Musicalizadores have mixed the music from Argentinian Horacio Salgán to Astor Piazzolla, the contemporary sounds of Orquesta Fernández Fierro Típica. And yet the Cuarteto Tipico Mano Brava has performed with live instruments featuring Argentine Tango: piano, bass, violin and bandoneon, and, finally, unforgettable, the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Catania ERSU with the participation of all the CTF2010 Teachers

Don't fear, The Festival will try to help in finding a partner that will happen with the only requirement of the level of dance that is held by individuals and that the organization has no way to verify.
Also, the pool CTF2012-Staff-Supporters, consisting of dancers with years of experience, always ensure equal numbers of men to women within individual classes.
