The Hyperion Ensemble, formed in 1992 as an ensemble interested in contemporary music, he dedicated himself to the repertoire from the beginning Piazzolliano and Tango in general, participating in its long performances years of activity with over 1200 shows in festivals and theaters all over Europe, with a wide repertoire ranging from contemporary Tango to traditional Tango.
The Ensemble from its foundation to today has collaborated and collaborates with various celebrity bandoneonists international like Luis Stazo, Juan Josè Mosalini, Daniel Binelli, Alfredo Marcucci, Victor Villena, Josè Luis Betancor, Daniele Di Bonaventra and other notable musicians such as Luis Bacalov, Antonella Roger. The singers who collaborate with the Ensemble are currently Martin Troncozo, Federico Pierro and Carlos Habiague, Argentines.
The Ensemble has participated in many festivals and tango evenings in all over the world: Paris, London, Istanbul, Brussels, San Diego, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington, Porec, Tarbes, Berlin, Barcelona (Sitges), St Petersburg, Moscow, Montreal, Toronto, Turin, Rome, Vienna, Las Vegas, Florence, Genoa, Oslo, Krakow, Zurich, Antwerp, Jakarta etc. In February 2023 he made his first tour in Buenos Aires with concerts in the main milongas: La Viruta, El Marabu (Parakultural), La Nacional, La Cumbre del Tango Zarate, etc. He has often collaborated with the best dancers on the world stage of Tango (Miguel Angel and Osvaldo Zotto, Frumboli/Sepulveda, Arce/Montes, etc.) and has musically accompanied numerous shows with various Argentine companies; among these we mention: the show “Tangovivo” with the Union Tanguera company of Esteban Moreno and Claudia Codega, “Tango Metropolis” with Claudio Hoffmann and Daniel Binelli, “Tango x 2” with Miguel Angel Zotto, “TangObsesion” with Compañia Leonardo Cuello, “Conceptango” with the company of Leo Calvelli and Eugenia, “Tango Nuevo” with the company of Roberto Herrera, and others: in 2015 and in In 2017 he participated in the German tour with the Compagnia di Gustavo Russo on the show Tango Revolution.
On these occasions the Ensemble has performed on the scenes of the most prestigious European theatres, such as the Teatro Regio and the Lingotto Auditorium in Turin, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, the Carlo Felice Theater in Genoa, Darmstadtium in Darmstadt, the Brucknerhaus in Linz, Die Glocke in Bremen the Auditorium of Conciliazione in Rome, the Arena del Sole in Bologna, Dom Musyck in Moscow, the Mohammed V Theater in Rabat (Morocco), the Regina Victoria Theater in San Sebastian, Royal Theater of Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Askhenaz Theater of Berkeley San Francisco, Trui theater of Palma de Mallorca, Concert Noble in Brussels, Mustafa Kemal Merkezi in Istanbul, the Theatre Bellini in Naples, the Piccolo Teatro and the Blue Note in Milan, as well as Theaters in many other cities around the world.
Since 2010 he has collaborated with the famous singer Antonella Ruggiero in the show “Contemporanea Tango”, on tour in the theaters of the peninsula. In July 2010 he a concert was also held together with the Argentine composer/pianist Luis Bacalov, Oscar winner for the music of "Il Postino".
Accompany often also soloists such as Cristina Vilallonga (singer of Gotan Project), Sandra Rumolino, Silvia Lallana, Franco Luciani (harmonica). He has appeared in public several times in a program with Orchestra Symphony, accompanied by the 45 elements of the Philharmonic Orchestra Lucchese.
The Ensemble's CDs have been passed around many times Radio in Argentina; the “2x4” and Radio Nacional, in Buenos Aires, have both dedicated to the Hyperion Ensemble various episodes in the programs “Urban recycling” and “El Tango in the world”. The song “La cancion mas sad” was included in the film Assolo (2016) by Laura Morante.
